  Northam Farm fishing lake offers seasoned anglers a challenge whilst novices can experience a new hobby. The Lake is well stocked with Mirror, Common, Crucian and Ghost Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Bream and Chub.

  RULES OF THE FISHING LAKE  
 

THIS LAKE IS REGULARLY VISITED BY THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY

All Anglers must have a current Environment Rod Licence
No keep nets from 1st June to 1st September
No Protein Baits, Nuts, Boilies or Ground Baits
NO BARBED HOOKS
Landing nets must be used
BIVVIS ARE NOT PERMITTED
The saving of Pegs is prohibited
Anglers must reel in if you leave the Peg – Fishing equipment must not be left unattended
No more than 2 rods per angler
Children under 16 must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult (no more than 2 children per adult)
The highest standard of behaviour is expected at all times
Anglers are expected to respect all Wildlife
Noise must be kept to a minimum
All litter must be disposed of in the bins provided
Northam Farm reserves the right to close the lake at any time

FISHING STARTS 1 HOUR BEFORE SUNRISE AND FINISHES 1 HOUR AFTER SUNSET

ADDITIONAL RULES FOR COMPETITIONS

Keep nets are allowed
Only 1 rod allowed at any time
Trout Pellets, Protein Baits or Boilies are NOT allowed
Ground Baits only to be used in an Open Ended Feeder
NO METHOD FEEDERS ALLOWED
Any other Baits can be used as loose feed eg. Maggots, Sweetcorn, Hemp, Cheese, Prawn

ANY ANGLER DISOBEYING ANY RULES OR BEING OFFENSIVE TO NORTHAM FARM STAFF WILL FORFEIT THEIR RIGHT TO FISH AT NORTHAM FARM LAKE

ENVIRONMENT AGENCY ROD LICENCE

If you fish without a licence you are cheating other anglers. It is an offence to fish for freshwater fish and eels without a valid rod licence and if you are caught you may be fined £2500.
The money raised through rod licence sales is invested directly in fisheries work that benefits all anglers.

Rod licences expire on 31st March 2011
Remember, if you are course fishing with 3 or 4 rods, you will need 2 licences

Pegs are limited and require Touring Pitch booking.



For game fishing
in Somerset why not visit Blagdon or Chew Valley Reservoirs for some top quality trout fishing offering boat or bank fishing.


Sea Fishing
in the local area gives you a selection of fishing for Bass, Conger and Flounder. Sea fishing is available on Burnham-On-Sea, and Weston-Super-Mare sea fronts or why not charter a boat for the day. Don't forget to check tide-times.
