  Northam Farm fishing lake offers seasoned anglers a challenge whilst novices can experience a new hobby. The Lake is well stocked with Mirror, Common, Crucian and Ghost Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Bream and Chub.

Health And Safety

  1. Children under 16 must not fish unaccompanied. One adult (over 18) to be in attendance per 2 children.
  2. No fishing equipment to be left unattended at any time .
  3. General care and tidiness is expected

Rules and Regulations

  1. No keep nets from 1st June to 1st September.
  2. No Protein baits, nuts boilies or ground baits.
  3. NO BARBED HOOKS.
  4. Landing nets must be used.
  5. All anglers must have a current National Rod Licence.
  6. BIVVI'S ARE NOT PERMITTED.
  7. The saving of pegs is prohibited .
  8. Anglers must reel in if you leave your peg.
  9. Maximum of two rods per Angler.
  10. No Angler to cause nuisance or offence to other Anglers.
  11. Anglers are requested to respect all Wildlife at all times.
  12. Please do not disturb fellow Anglers and keep noise to a minimum.
  13. Northam Farm reserves the right to close the Lake at any time.
  14. Dispose of litter in the bins provided
  15. The highest possible standard of behaviour is expected from all.
  16. Fishing starts one hour before sunrise and finishes one hour after sunset

Additional Rules For Competitions

  1. Keep nets allowed
  2. No Trout Pellets, Protein Pellets, or Boilies to be used
  3. One rod only at any time to be used
  4. Ground baits only to be used in an open ended feeder
  5. NO METHOD FEEDERS
  6. Any other baits can be used as loose feeding i.e. maggots, sweetcorn, hemp, cheese, prawns……

ANY ANGLER DISOBEYING ANY RULES WILL FORFEIT HIS/HER RIGHT TO FISH AT NORTHAM FARM LAKE.

National Rod License

  • Children under 12 years of age do not require a National Rod Fishing Licence
  • Full and Concessionary rod licences expire on 31st March
  • Failure to provide a valid Environment Agency Rod Licence could result in prosecution
    (maximum fine £2,500)

Next year dates for the Fishing competitions are 26th April 2009 & 13th September 2009.
£4 per peg can be booked from January 2008 onwards. 
Pegs are limited and require Touring Pitch booking.

in Somerset why not visit Blagdon or Chew Vally Lakes for some top quality trout fishing offering boat or bank fishing.


Sea Fishing
in the local area gives you a selection of fishing for Bass, Conger and Flounder. Sea fishing is available on Burnham-On-Sea, and Weston-Super-Mare sea fronts or why not charter a boat for the day. Don't forget to check tide-times.
